Reference sheet (on the right)
Cut out the sheet with the knife
Reference sheet cut
Plastify the sheet on both sides
Cut the plastic around
Plastified reference sheet

This technique is relatively easy since there is no mounting to do. If you want unmounted references sheet, you must print it on cardboard. Plastifying is optional. Here is the material you need:

  • Cutting Mat
  • Exacto knife
  • Scissors (Optional)
  • Book Plastic (Optional)
  • Cloth (Optional)
  • Bone Folder (Optional)
  1. Cut the sheet: The first thing to do is to cut out the sheet from the tray. Now depending on how the print outs were made, either you need to cut on the line or around the line. In my print outs, I generally try to use dotted lines that that the user simply needs to cut on it. It also reduce the amount of white space left if the cut is not straight.
  2. Plastify the sheet(optional): When your sheet is cut, you may want to plastify it. You can refer to the plastication guide, but in short cut the plastic you need, stick the sheet, press with a cloth and a bone folder, do the same for the other side and cut the leftover plastic.
