Starcraft Invasions: Planning Phase

What is really interesting about this variant is that the core of the game play is very similar to the original rules. So you really have the feeling of playing the original game. Second, since you do not need to hide any information from other players, it is much more easier to plan ahead your actions and there is much less things to memorise.

At the beginning of each turn, the player needs to draw a card. So what ever the player do, the game is going to eventually end. Players can discard an action token to draw an event cards, but it does not happen very often in a solo game unless you want to end the game as fast as possible.
The player place their orders in a stacks like in the original rules. The main difference is that the orders can be placed face up. So you do not need to remember any more which order has been placed where.
If you have the expansion, one things you can do is collect the resources in advance with the resources tokens.
These resources tokens can then be placed directly on the stuff you intend to buy. You can do that at the beginning of the turn before resolving your first order. This way, you can easily change your mind and recalculate your production to make sure you are going to have all the resources you need to do your actions.
In the resolution phase, the player resolve one of his action token. Then a card is draw from the action deck which determines the action of the opposing forces. There is 2 factions per card which are each making an action, resolve the action of both faction in listed order. If the faction on the card is the same than the player's faction then ignore the action (For example, if the player is Protoss, all protoss actions on the cards have no effect).
Once all 4 actions has been resolved, it's time to proceed to the regrouping phase. Some steps has no effect on the AI (ex: recover workers) and some steps are excluded: a)"Choose Leadership card", b) "Check for special victory", c) "Pass the first player token"
In order for the game to end, the player must have 15 victory points when 2 "the end draws near" event cards are played. If the player reach 15 points, before the event cards are played, he must hold on until the game ends. A single player game generally last around 6-8 turns.
